Raining in Kinshasa

It rained the previous night and the next afternoon we also had a downpour. It was probably the hardest rain we have seen since being in Kinshasa. It seldom rains two days in a row. The drainage system here doesn't work very well so after a big rain the roads get a little flooded! There is a ditch just to the right of where we are driving so we had to be careful not to stray over too far. We had several missionaries who were being released from their missions so we had no choice but to venture out in order to take them home.




This street is just a couple of blocks from our apartment. The water makes the driving difficult because you cannot see the huge holes in the road.
