Christmas Came Early for Mom
When we asked Mom what she wanted for Christmas, her list was a bit longer and unusual than in past years. Jello, coconut, pickle relish, cake mixes, ranch dressing, cough drops, you name it, if it can be found in a kitchen, she asked for it. And, because we are such wonderful daughters (Liza helped too), we collected every last item on her list. And, because there were too many things to wrap, we just laid everything out and let her view it. This is her first look at all the Christmas goodies:

Dad also requested a few items--namely Oreos, which are neatly packed in my carryon suitcase that was checked at the gate and is now missing and which hopefully we will get at the airport tomorrow. We had a scare at the airport when I retreived our 4 large suitcases. We had locks on all the suitcases and one of them had a lock missing, so I was afraid we would be short a few items. But when I got home, everything looked in place and luckily it was a suitcase full of food. All the Christmas presents were in the other bags that were locked.
