More Pictures from the Marche

Some more pictures from today's adventure. Notice the Coke signage. Bottles and crates for Coca-Cola are everywhere. So is VODAcom, the cell phone company that reigns here. The building Mom and Dad live in has Vodacom offices, so there is a huge VodaCom Office Park sign out front. It is amazing how cell phones are used here. There will be a guy with a hut or just a sign up every block or so --the sign says 'Appel' which means 'talk' and you go up and pay 100 francs and you get to use the guy's cell phone for 1 minute. That's how they survive without phones since many don't live with electricity. Speaking of electricity it went out twice last night. The building has a generator so it will come back on after just a few seconds, so it's not a problem, just adds a little more excitement!
